Women play a crucial role in the social and economic development of any country. In Pakistan, however, many women still face significant barriers to education, employment, and financial independence.
Despite improvements in education, women’s participation in the workforce remains limited. In many rural areas, women have little access to professional training or income‑generating opportunities.
Vocational skills training has proven to be one of the most effective ways to empower women and strengthen communities. Programs that teach practical skills such as tailoring, stitching, and small‑scale entrepreneurship can help women earn income while supporting their families.
The Stitching and Tailoring Center initiative is an example of how practical skills can transform lives. When women gain access to training and resources, they can start home‑based businesses, contribute financially to their households, and build confidence in their abilities.
Empowering women does not only benefit individuals—it strengthens entire communities. When women have the opportunity to learn skills and generate income, families gain financial stability, children receive better education, and communities become more resilient.
At Education, Hunar and Relief Development Foundation (EHRDF), empowering women through skills development is a key step toward building sustainable and inclusive growth.
